Timothy Tsosie comes from the Wide Ruins area of the Navajo Reservation in Northeastern Arizona. It was there where he began his twenty year career of creating high quality beadwork. The skills and knowledge for beadwork were passed down to him from his mother. Many Navajo artists learn their respective crafts through their families with one generation passing knowledge down to another. Timothy grew up with many artists for relatives. His aunts and grandparents were master rug weavers and his uncle was a silversmith
